8 Home Remedies for Stomach Aches and Cramps

There are many ways in which people have identified home remedies for stomach aches and cramps. The stomach aches are also known as abdominal pain. A hot pack, a hot water bottle, or hot basin of water with a towel (or something that works best for you)
Comfortable area to lie down

Instructions
– Look for a comfortable place to lie down.
– Rest the hot pack on your belly or hot water bottle or apply the water using a towel. The hot pack or water should be at a comfortable temperature.
– Do this for at least 15 – 20 minutes; repeat this as necessary reheating the water if it cools.

2. Take a Cup of Chamomile Tea

You will not believe this but it works. Chamomile does the trick. Take a cup of Chamomile Tea, which helps ease the pain of a stomach ache. For instance the lining of the stomach might become inflamed. It does this by working as an anti-inflammatory and relaxes the smooth of the upper digestive system. As it relaxes the muscles, contractions that push food through your system also ease up or loosen, therefore reducing the pain of cramping and spasms.

What you require

– One teabag of chamomile tea or one to two teaspoons of dried chamomile
– Hot water
– A tea cup or mug

Instructions

– Boil some water
– Pour the boiled water over a teabag
– Cover the mug and let it steep for 10 minutes and if you are using dried chamomile, put 1-2 teaspoons of dried chamomile in a mug.  Add some boiling water and cover the mug. Let it steep for 15 to 20 minutes.

– One cup of water boiling water
– A Mug
– Fresh peppermint leaves or 1 to 2 teaspoons dried peppermint

Directions
– Boil one cup of water
– Put fresh peppermint leaves or 1 to 2 teaspoons of dried peppermint in a mug. You can also use a pre-made teabag if you have one or you are more comfortable with it.
– Cover the peppermint with the boiling water
– Cover the mug and leave it for 5 to 10 minutes.
– Sip the tea slowly while it’s warm.
– Using the fresh peppermint leaves? You can also chew them to ease stomach pains.

4. Rice Water

This is the rice water that is left over after cooking your rice or water which can be taken out of rice while it is cooking. The rice water acts as a substance that relieves inflammation. It does this by forming a soothing barrier over the lining of your stomach.

What you require
– 2 cups of water
– 1/2 cup of white rice
– A cooking pot

Instructions
– Have your ingredients ready
– In this case we will cook our rice with twice the amount of water we normally would for the selected amount of rice.
– Put the rice in a cooking pot on the stove
– Add the amount of required water
– Cook over medium low heat.
– When the rice starts to be tender, put off the heat and allow it to soak for 3-5 minutes while it’s still covered.
– Drain and drink the water warm of rice, add a drop of honey if required.
– Do not throw the rice, save if for a later meal.

5. Drinking of Club Soda and Lime

Lime can assist you in easing the aching of your stomach. What you need is to combine the lime with club soda. The carbonation in club soda will encourage you to let out air from the stomach through the mouth, therefore relieving pressure in your tummy.

– Fresh lime juice
– eight ounces of cool club soda

1cup of water
A sharp knife or peeler

Instructions

– Wash the ginger root, peel it and then grate it or finely chop.
– Boil one or two cups of water
– Add your ginger root, you can use less water and more ginger if you need a more concentrated drink.
– Boil for 4 minutes and then simmer for 3 more
– Remove it from the heat and sieve
– You can add some honey to give it a taste.
– Drink the concoction slowly while relaxing.

8. Chew Fennel Seeds

Chewing fennel seeds can help in reducing stomach ache as they contain anethole, which is a volatile oil that can arouse the secretion of digestive juices.
